Project Runway Review Season 15, Episode 1

Hey Everyone!
I'm back with my Season 15, Episode 1 Review on Project Runway!!
Right off the bat I knew I was going to Love this season. Everyone is soo talented and has alot of personality.

Let's Begin!!
First, we see all 16 designers gather at a party welcoming them to Project Runway. So, they talk amongst themselves and try to enjoy each others company, that's when Heidi and Tim walks in.
Hello Everyone, Welcoming  the to Project Runway.

Right then and there the first challenge is given and it's an Unconventional Challenge.
They had to use the items at the party to make a garment. The designers couldn't believe that right off the bat it was a unconventional challenge but we all know project runway will throw us a curve ball really quick.

And they're off!!!
Project Runway Season 15, Episode 1

After all the party decoration were gathered, everyone heads to Parson's.

Project Runway Season 15, Episode 1

Well in the sewing room alot of designers are a little confused, scared and intimidated being that this is one of the hardest challenges but they get on with it. Tim then comes in and tells the designers that this is a 1 day challenge and how be back to talk to each designer.

Let the Review Begin..

His creation really fit the bill the way he explained it. I understood exactly where he was coming from and really loved the way he used the accessories. He said he was into tribal, all types and the model looked exactly as if she was going to a "Native American Sweet 16 Party" were it was really cold. Before Tim's critique, I thought he was going no where fast by using the pillow and umbrella but he got his mind right and was in the top.

Top 3
Dexter Simmons' Project Runway Season 15, Episode 1 Final Look

I was a little scared for Tasha because of her fear and not having enough material, in the critique Tim really directed her the right way to being in the top. I love her urban edge and bad girl chic style.

Top 3
Tasha Henderson's Project Runway Season 15, Episode 1 Final Look

Her design was cute and simple, to me it looked the most wearable.

Linda Marcus' Project Runway Season 15, Episode 1 Final Look

I thought the this design was great, he actually crumble magazine paper to make this sensational design. He's someone we really need to watch..

This should have been on the top.

Mah-Jing Wong's Project Runway, Season 15, Episode 1 Final Look

I thought her jacket was outstanding, I wasn't too enthusiastic about the short a pencil ankle pant would have been much better.

Nathalia JMag's Project Runway Season 15, Episode 1 Final Look

I love this young man design aesthetic and his back story have me rooting for him. I thought the dress had alot of movement and all of the lanterns intertwining with each other was poetic..

Roberi Parra's Project Runway Season 15, Episode 1 Final Look

I soo liked this design soo much, this design was edgy and sexy. I kept looking a the models haircut, but I digress.

Rik Villa's Project Runway Season 15, Episode 1 Final Look

What can I say but it was OK..

Sarah Donofrio's Project Runway Season 15, Episode 1 Final Look

I really thought this dress was going to be in the bottom.
When I saw her beautiful leather designs, I knew she would knock this challenge out of the park.
She Didn't!!

Laurence Basse's Project Runway Season 15, Episode 1 Final Look

I kinda like the shape of this dress, but that's it..

Kimber Richardson's Project Runway Seaosn 15, Episode 1 Final Look

At first, the top and shorts looked a little junior until Tim spoke to her and made a jacket.

Jenni Riccetti's Project Runway Season 15, Episode 1 Final Look

I liked it but for an unconventional challenge, I think not.
I can understand you believing in yourself and standing by your work but this wasn't even close to the challenge. I was glad to see him gone..
Arrogant Ass!!

Ian Hargrove's Project Runway Season 15, Episode 1 Final Look

At first I knew she wasn't going to finish, she was soo calm, cool and collected.
Everyone was worried about her, even Tim!! Her design was simple and sophisticated..

Erin Robertson's Project Runway Season 15, Episode 1 Final Look

This was soo inspirational, he used plates and flowers, it thought it was romantic and sweet..

Cornelius Ortiz's Project Runway Season 15, Episode 1 Final Look

Just like the judges said, it was confusing. The pant was done well and the way he took the hat bills and put them on the shoulders was innovative . He just should have used one style and went all the way with it..

Brik Allen's Project Runway Season 15, Episode 1 Final Look

I will be watching out for this designer as well. I love his spirit and positivity and it showed in his dress.. Lovely! He should have been in the top..

Alex Snyder's Project Runway Season 15, Episode 1 Final Look

The first episode was a hit for me..
I'm really enjoying everyone's individuality and creativity. We will see in the upcoming season who are your and my favorites. So, Far Mah-Jing and Alex are my standouts. Comment and tell me who did designs did you love or hate.

Until Next Time...

Inspired Faux Leather Square Obi Belt

Hey Everyone!!! Today, I'm coming at you today with an accessory an Obi belt to be more specific. I've been obsessed with Loewe's Wide Obi Belt since I've seen it on one of my favorite Youtubers.  As some of you all already know, I love to recreate designer fashion but give a twist to it. I love doing this at a fraction of the cost to tell the truth I actually did this for FREE.. Yes, FREE with faux black leather I purchased from Wal-Mart years ago. I love how the belt cinches in your waist, making your silhouette even more dramatic. Can you say Statement Piece? It feels more like art to me, such sculpture statement to make.  Inspiration: Loewe Wide Obi Belt It's not really a tutorial, more of a pictorial. I actually used a old peplum pattern and cut the shape I wanted. I can't give you dimensions, you'd have to make the shape to want.. When you get the shape you want, you cut the pattern.  Make sure you cut 2
