Wally World Fabric Haul

Hello Everyone!!
I hope that everyone is having a great year soo far.
Apart from having a baby and back to work, it's been nice.
I'm coming to you today with a Wally World Fabric Haul, yes Wal-Mart.
I'm also including some inspiration pictures that I hope to create using the fabric.

First up, is these Neoprene fabric, yes that's what I said NEOPRENE.
I was walking through the isle looking for a stretch denim and on the clearance rack for $2.00 a yard were these 3 neoprene fabrics. I first had to pinch myself because of the beautiful colors, then I had wake up because it was neoprene. I know I should have bought more, but I'm the kind of girl that's not greedy. I like to share the beautiful fabrics with my sew Sista's and Mista's..

Aren't they nice!

I had to show this unbelievable value of this fabric..

This picture doesn't do this fabric just.

These are some ideas and inspirations for this fabric..

LOVE

 Dolce & Gabbana
 Women's Pisa Embellished Striped Dress
I just need to find the embellishments.

This fabric maybe used for a jacket or even a skirt.
I was looking at Scandal and saw Olivia with the navy and red jacket below.

This fabric would look outstanding paired with a white pant or skirt.

Proenza Schouler
Double Breasted Blazer
If you all look at Scandal for the fashion like I do.

I also fell in love with TOPSHOP striped dress.
Just need to add a couple of inches at the bottom and there you have it.

TOPSHOP

Yes, this is the exact fabric as the dress below this one and I am remaking it..

Sew cute!
I may use a different bodice because of my boobage, lol.
But this dress is soo fun and flirty..

I also purchased this faux leather from Wally World and you all already know I'm making a purse with this one. I haven't decided yet..

I'm loving this "Never full" bag from LV.

I only bought a half yard because it comes 60 inches wide.
Still not bad for the price..

These 2 are stretch fabrics and I see maybe a jumpsuit or wrap dress in my future.

The black and white fabric, I was thinking about the Vogue 8825.

The fabric is a medium weight knit and textured, I'll be making this for the Fall/Winter..

This Rayon lightweight, I was thinking of a Burdastyle 7082

The fabric below is a cotton but I loved how cute it is and I only paid $.50 a yard..

This fabric and pattern would be great for View B.
I always wanted to try this pattern.
Wish me luck.
Well, that concludes my blog post today. I'm sew happy to be back and ready to start blogging again.
If you have any other ideas for my fabric, please don't hesitate to comment.

Until Next Time...
SEW IT CHIC!!!!!

New Orleans Style Homemade Yaka-Mein!!
If you're not form New Orleans, then you probably will not know what this is. But if you do, then here's the recipe for "Yaka-Meat". Yaka-Meat originated http://www.noladefender.com/content/bowl-mystery. Link above to make a long story short..

Add the 3-4 quarts of water and half bottles of Worcestershire and Soy sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium and let cook about 2-3 hours or until beef is tender enough to fall apart.

Inspired Faux Leather Square Obi Belt

Hey Everyone!!! Today, I'm coming at you today with an accessory an Obi belt to be more specific. I've been obsessed with Loewe's Wide Obi Belt since I've seen it on one of my favorite Youtubers.  As some of you all already know, I love to recreate designer fashion but give a twist to it.
I love doing this at a fraction of the cost to tell the truth I actually did this for FREE..
Yes, FREE with faux black leather I purchased from Wal-Mart years ago.

I love how the belt cinches in your waist, making your silhouette even more dramatic.
Can you say Statement Piece?
It feels more like art to me, such sculpture statement to make.

Inspiration:

Loewe Wide Obi Belt

It's not really a tutorial, more of a pictorial.
I actually used a old peplum pattern and cut the shape I wanted.
I can't give you dimensions, you'd have to make the shape to want..

When you get the shape you want, you cut the pattern.  Make sure you cut 2 and cut both on the fold.  After, cutting 2 ta…
