Glittered Wool Strapless Culottes Jumpsuit
Hey everyone!!
It's been a minute since I've last blogged, February in fact.
I've been doing a lot of projects around the house, sewing, crafting and working.
Working the worst, sometimes when I get home I don't want to do anything but cook, shower, cuddle with my baby girl and watch TV. Enough about me, I know what you came to see.
I call her, Lady!!
She's classic with a twist.
I had this 2 yards fabric for about 8 years in my stash, but didn't know what to do with it. I know I'm going to need some festive things for the fall and winter season. New Orleans weather is so fickle, cold tomorrow and hot the next. I can wear it with cute heels or throw a jacket over my shoulders with open toed boots.
Patterns used:

Pants Simplicity 2562
First, I started with the two flower petals.
Cut 2 large, 2 small and 2 interfacing.
Iron the interfacing on one of the petals.
Sew all around the 2 large and 2 small flower front side facing, leaving a inch or 2 open on side. Turn both inside out, iron and sew a straight stitch around the flower.
It should look like the bottom picture. I put the flower petals kind of half overlapping each other. Then folded the petals accordion style. It came out well for my first time.
I pinned the middle to keep it together, check bottom picture.
See on dressform below.

View with cutout bodice.
Sew the top bodice all together.
I also, sewed the lining and boding.
Lining with boning.

Sewing top and lining facing together, making sure to iron and making to understitch the bodice.
I also made Culottes with a cuff.
Look at me, soo fancy, LOL..
I serged both pieces, attached both pieces together, added a zipper and then attached the petals.
I wish the picture was bigger.
I absolutely love Lady.
I want to thank you for stopping by and viewing my latest creation.
